we were put into groups and had to show in a pictures the word democracy. we all went and discussed in detail what we thought when speaking about democracy, and after thinking up loads and loads of ideas, we got into greencards, and it how people are alienated when theres no democracy. to show this we came up with the idea of ET and his infamous picture of him holding his hand up. after seeing a russian communist picture in libary which we found interesting, we decided to re create that picture using ET's hand, looking like someone putting there hand up for democracy. it was good fun and after a few stressful hours of hand cutting out these pictures, scanning it and and so on, we all really liked the poster, and in the crit, everyone else liked the picture, but just thought that it might have been a bit difficult to understand, and some people couldnt get the alien idea.
