Glyphs and Letterpress

Today we were briefed on Letterpress, and Glyphs which are little icons made in Illustrator.

I started creating glyphs using different shop names that I saw and took photos of in Poole. I started on an older shop name, and also a more modern, more difficult shop name too. Since I know Illusrator pretty well, I chose to carry on with the more modern shop name, The Nail Lounge, using the path tool, and it went really well.

We also found out about Letterpress and how it works. It looks like loads of fun, and I've come back and researched some artists that do Letterpress and put them in my sketchbook, and it is wicked how cool and detailed some people make it.
